RETREAT FAQs
Am I a Disney Monastic? Should I attend?
01
Who should attend this retreat?
A Disney Monastic is anyone who seeks to create intentional community at the Walt Disney World Resort. All monastics are expected to participate in all programmed activities.
02
I have never been to Walt Disney World. Should I attend this retreat?
This retreat will be made up of intentional reflection time in three of the four theme parks of Walt Disney World. If you are the type of person who wants to go to Walt Disney World and see everything the resort has to offer, this may not be the retreat for you. During our 3 programmed days in Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and The Magic Kingdom, we will spend 6 hours each day in the parks. This will be enough time to ride and reflect on assigned rides and allow time to possibly ride 3 more.
03
Is this retreat for children?
The innaugarall retreat is designed for monastics 15 years of age and older. Anyone 21 years old and under is expected to attend the retreat with their parent or legal guardian. It is our hope to add children's programming at retreats in the near future.
04
Can I attend only part of the retreat?
It would be wonderful to have you but you must register and attend the entire retreat! We are creating a monastic community so commitment to the entire retreat and all of the retreat's programming is part of the Community Rule.
